COVID-19 Response

As couples globally are facing the COVID-19 pandemic, taking the right actions and navigating this ever-evolving scenario can be challenging. Our team is making daily decisions through the lens of how to best keep our couples, employees and partners safe and healthy. We'll continue to update our policy on COVID-19 as new information is available from the CDC and WHO, as well as from experts within the wedding industry. 

The following policies are applicable to postponements and cancellations in the event your wedding plans are affected by the pandemic:

Travel Restrictions
On August 18, 2020 Governor David Ige announced extension of mandatory 14-day quarantine required for all passengers (visitors and returning residents) arriving into the state of Hawaii on or before September 30. Delaying until October 1 a program that would allow trans-Pacific travelers to bypass quarantine in Hawaii if they test negative for COVID-19. Should the State of Hawaii extend the quarantine, and/or implement new traveling proclamations, wedding couples and their guests will need to adhere to our State's current Active Emergency Proclamations. Social Gathering Attendance, Social Distancing and Mask guidelines shall be adhered to by all parties.

COVID-19 Postponements
Any payment collected thus far minus any third-party vendor fees and a $400 operational fee may be applied to a postponed date no later than December 31st, 2021. Postponements must be requested and approved no later than 45 days before your current contracted wedding date. All original contract details will be honored for your new postponed date. Should you wish to reschedule for 2022, your 2021 contract will be terminated, and the Resort will create a new 2022 contract with 2022 package offers and pricing. Postponement request and approval must be in writing.

COVID-19 Cancellations
In the event that our Resort Wedding Operations are open, and you wish to cancel due to travel restrictions to/from Hawaii and/or your State or Country, or State of Hawaii COVID-19 Guidelines, the following charges will apply. Notification must be in writing.
•  Cancelling more than 75 days before the current Wedding Date: Operational Fee $500 plus any third-party vendor fees.
•  Cancelling within 75 days before the current Wedding Date: Operational Fee $700 plus any third-party vendor fees.

COVID-19 Resort Wedding Operations
In the event our Resort Wedding Operations are temporarily closed and unable to fulfill your Wedding Contract details due to COVID-19 government restrictions, any payments made thus far will be refunded to the originally charged credit card(s), less a $500 operational fee and any third party vendor fees.
COVID-19 Vendor Orders (applied to vendors booked through the Resort)
If a selected Vendor has agreed to the Hotel's "COVID-19 Vendor Cancellation Addendum", the client will be subject to following:
•  Any Cancellations made 30 days prior to the event date will not incur a cancellation fee.
•  All cancellations made within 30 days of the event date will incur a cancellation fee that is 75% of the original booked service amount. Times and Orders may be adjusted from time of booking until thirty (30) days prior to the function with no penalty. 

COVID-19 Revisions in Agreement
Revisions apply to clients keeping their contracted date and changing packages and/or adding/removing items to their contract. Revisions to this agreement must be approved by the Wedding Manager and will not be allowed within forty-five (45) days of the function. Items and/or packages revised and/or added will reflect pricing at the original contract date. Within forty-five (45) days of the function, this agreement including but not limited to the package chosen, may not be revised. Client is responsible for all items and packages listed in this agreement. Revisions including a postponed date will be subject to the COVID-19 Postponements listed above.
